I’m Kasia.
Artist, designer, and certified art conservator from Poland with 20+ years of practice across painting, illustration, large-scale murals, and fine art conservation.
I’ve been drawing on the walls since I was a child. I haven’t stopped since.
In 2019 I came to New Zealand for six months. Six years later, I’m a resident and running my studio here in Queenstown with my wee dog Muppet – the escape artist.
I was always fascinated by how the old masters made their work – not just what they painted, but how and why it lasted. That curiosity led me through 12 years of formal art training, including a Master’s in Conservation and Restoration. I studied conservation not to fix things, but to understand art completely: the science behind its materials, its structure, its history.
I love sharing that knowledge through workshops and courses – from total beginners to those finding their way back to making. Art is for everyone. You don’t need to be good at it to enjoy it.
Renaissance artist, modern designer.
Renaissance artists didn’t separate science from art and design. Neither do I. Art and design are problem solving with visuals – the medium and tools change, the logic behind it doesn’t.
Before New Zealand, I became more and more interested in design work. I worked in a motion design studio, first as a project manager, then as a designer. Graphic design grabbed me and didn’t let go – it’s part of my creative practice and how my work evolves across different media.
I’m drawn to ambitious projects and the people behind them – the ones who care about getting it right, not just getting it done. The best work happens when there’s something truly meaningful behind it.
